Oh, hubs 😂

Jon's been growling at me like a bear for some reason. So I finally said "you miss playing with Carson huh?" He goes "no...well...wanna play toro?" Lol

Roller coaster

I am living and I am breathing. And I am thankful for it.

The week (maybe more than a week) of the emotional roller coaster is what January 30, 2014 - February 10, 2014 will be forever known as.

I've lost someone who is very dear to me. Lots of people have lost someone who is very dear to them. One of my favorite people in the world lost her mother on February 5, 2014.

Let me say, I love my mom. She's crazy and loud and isn't afraid to tell anyone anything. The complete opposite of me. But I love her. She's my mom. No matter what, she's always my mom.

My friend, loved her mom more than anyone I've ever known has ever loved anyone, ever. The only words I have are I'm sorry. I'm sorry this is happening to you. I'm just sorry. It makes me cry. Sometimes knowing how much you are crying about it makes me cry. But I digress, enough about crying.

Tomorrow, we will all get to meet Logan Lloyd. To quote one of my husbands favorite memes "such exciting! Much baby! Very wow!"

I can't wait to see him! I'm so excited for Hillary and Chris. And Carson! He's going to be a big brother! He's going to be a very good big brother. Much fun. Many brother.

And then on Sunday I will get to see a very good friend! In the midst of a bad situation, why not find joy where you can? Followed by a viewing on Monday. Oh, that is going to be awful. I hope that I can help my friend get through this terrible time. I will try not to do if my usual way of making jokes. Well, maybe I will. I've been doing that for so long and she's still my friend, right? Maybe she likes it? Hmm. I wonder...

Anyway, she thinks I make some weird frog face. I have NO idea what she's talking about.

I have a hard time saying the words out loud about feelings and things. "Writing them down" aka typing them on my iPhone, is much easier. So wow.
The end. -Doge

Downton Abbey

Finally started season four. I'm so late!

"No, as a Chinese laundryman."
Dowager Countress

"When you talk like that I'm tempted to ring for Nanny and send you to bed without supper"
Dowager Countess

Mr Molesley is one of my favorites. I hope he gets a job.

Way to go Mr Bates, finding that IOU ;)

"Oh no. But if I were to search for logic I wouldn't look for it among the English upper class"
DCOG

Why, oh WHY would they do that to Anna!? She and Mr Bates have not been through enough drama? I can't...

New Year's Day 2014

So there is a LOTR marathon today. Guess I won't be doing much. A few observations:

Even though I know Gandalf comes back as Gandalf the White, I can't help but be upset when Gandalf the Grey dies.

For some reason, they had to digitally enhance or even produce a tear on Frodos face after Gandalf dies.

I wish I were an elf.

It's hard to say who my favorite is, Aragorn or Legolas.

Why does Sean Bean always have to die? Everything I see him in, he dies.

Frodo does not deserve Sam.

I was right...still not doing anything and the only thing that's changed it that now The Two Towers is on.

How does Legolas always have arrows? Never ending supply of those things.

Why couldn't those big bird/eagle things just fly someone over Mt Doom and drop it in?

Sometimes I wish Sam would just tell Frodo to stop being such a little p@!$#.

And...

My friends...you bow to no one.

Sleepy Hollow, New York.

A little about our anniversary trip.

Wednesday 10/09/13 the night we arrived in Stamford, Connecticut.

Jon's been asleep for about an hour and I'm watching paranormal activity. And I just took the time to do this
Julie: What the hell are you doing Carly
Drinking free water
Now I'm waiting for the elevator

Thursday October 10

So after dinner we get back to the hotel and we get changed out of fancy clothes...And then we both realize, again, we have nothing to drink. And I'll be damned if I'm going to give in to the $3 bottle of water....So we get dressed to go out again, make an absolutely ridiculous trip across the street (which included walking down the block, waiting for the sign to say we can go, walking back the other way because the store was literally right across the street but there's all kinds of signs about jaywalking). And we go into this Amir Market (really the name) and we get there of those Arizona iced tea big cans for the price of...you guessed it...$3. So then, we start our ridiculous walk back and as we pass by the Boost mobile store (which is closed, all dark inside) and a Doberman pincher runs and jumps on the front windows from the inside...scares the shit out of both of us...

Friday October 11

We've been to sleepy hollow and back today. We walked down to the Hudson and saw the Tappan Zee bridge. Not too long ago we got done with Irving's Legend which was a dramatic performance of the tale of sleepy hollow. We are currently sitting at a sports bar called The Huddle. World Cup qualifier is on and USA is playing Jamaica. USA scores. So Jon says "maybe Jamaica should stick with bobsledding" lmao

Saturday October 12

Today we went and walked around Cove Island Park.

It was gorgeous looking out over Long Island sound. Tonight we have Horsemans Hollow which should be awesome but we have some time to kill before that so who knows what we will get into

Well we did a lot of walking around, some eating, some drinking. Horsemans Hollow was pretty good as far as "haunted attractions" go.

Sunday October 13

Check out day! We were sluggish and lazy getting out of bed so we were only 10 minutes late checking out. Then...Jon thinks he may have forgotten something very important at the hotel. So before we get on 95 I'm trying to find a place to pull over so Jon can get out and check his bags. Well it just so happens that where we decides to try and pull over was apparently a location in which a lot of unfortunate people hang out waiting for a ride. As soon as I slow down, two of them come running for the car. I promptly floor the gas pedal so as to not appear like I'm trolling the area for hitchhikers. Well that was awkward. And scary

Well from there it was off to Norwalk to visit the Maritime Aquarium and see Man of Steel in IMAX. Aquarium was good, Man of Steel was better.

Then it was the Great Pumpkin Blaze (our last event). We had to drive back towards Sleepy Hollow for that to Croton on the Hudson. Yes. That's the name of the town. This thing was AWESOME.

I would definitely recommend to anyone that can that they go see this!!

Long drive home, the end.

No but really after that we left and didn't get home until 1 and my poor honey had to get stuff together so he could go back to work today (perfect timing since the money will be nice but not perfect timing since we knew we'd be getting back late.)

And then I slept until 12:30....

Garden

I put together the flower bed yesterday. Did this one all by myself and I hope it makes my mom proud. I took a lot of the what she did last year and changed it up just a little.

And of course all that ended with this

Oh and I can't forget about this guy. My birthday present from the hubs.

That is all for now
